Prince Harry is reportedly “shocked” over Prince William’s recent behaviour, and an expert has warned that the consequences could be dire for the heir to the throne.

Prince Harry is reportedly “shocked” that his brother Prince William still does not want to reconcile after years of estrangement.

A source told RadarOnline.com this week that the Prince of Wales, 44, is “acting like Harry and Meghan don’t exist” despite the Duke of Sussex, 42, returning to the United Kingdom with his family in September.

“Ignoring Harry is his way of handling what he considers to be a wretchedly unpleasant situation,” the insider added.

Prince Harry is said to find the cold shoulder from his brother “infuriating”, particularly as he has publicly expressed on multiple occasions his hopes of burying the hatchet with the future King.

However, the source has warned that Prince William should be wary of his actions – or lack thereof – towards his brother, especially as Prince Harry is known for his abrupt reactions.

“Harry’s known to be impulsive, and the more wound up he gets, the more likely he is to follow through on threats to make William regret this.”

“He insists he’s tried to find every possible way to say that he’s sorry. He’s genuinely shocked that there’s not even been a shred of forgiveness on William’s part.”

The pair have been estranged for years, with the heir to the throne understood to have distanced himself from his brother after the release of his 2023 memoir Spare.

In the controversial tome, Prince Harry detailed a physical altercation in which Prince William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor”.

He alleges the argument was over his wife Meghan Markle, 45, who the Prince of Wales described as “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”.

Prince Harry has been vocal about his hopes of reconciling with his brother, most recently sitting down with Zach Baron for GQ Magazine to discuss the rift.

He touched on his complicated relationship with Prince William after he was asked how he planned to “work it out” with his estranged brother.

“Well, some people don’t want it to work out,” he told Baron.

The Duke of Sussex was then asked whether he grieved the loss of his close-knit bond with the Prince of Wales, to which he admitted: “Yes, of course.”

“I think from a family perspective, again, another massively relatable issue for so many people,” Harry said.

“You know, there’s sibling disagreements, there’s broken relationships between kids and their parents, kids and one parent.

“That continues to come up with me the whole time [with] people that I speak to … so, I know how relatable it is. That’s partly probably why there’s so much fascination [with my family].

“And then people maybe look at us and go ‘How are you gonna work it out?’”

When asked if he wanted to reconcile with his brother, he replied, “I want it to work out. Of course I do.

“With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to, you know, reconcile.

“That’s the key point.”
